@prologic I don't automate anything but I have sensors in every room to warn me if the humidity is too high and one in the fridge to warn if it's too warm/cold via xmpp message. It's working pretty well and was not expensive. I have fhem running on a raspberry pi which also serves other services.

@lukem Nice. As I don't know how to create an android app I just wrote an xmpp bot for using twtxt. It's probably very hacky as I am no programmer at all.
@adiabetic I like #ZSH (I'm using it with the #grml config).
@freemor Doing everything in the browser is indeed terrible. But I have to admit that e.g. jitsi-meet for a/v conferences is pretty neat. You just share the link and password and everybody can join without installing and configuring a new software.

@dgold I've heard a lot of people successfully run Linux on Macbooks. Never tried it myself as they are too expensive for me.

@kas (re #hashtags) My twtxt bot can filter the timeline for hashtags so sometimes I look what others are writing about a certain topic but usually I only find my own tweets. 😁

@kas I managed it. I had to temporarily set my pgp_home to the autocrypt folder before importing the key.
@sarmonsiill (re publishing) I have an xmpp bot running on my vps and the bot updates my twtxt.txt using txtnish. So I use twtxt via xmpp.
If you can read this my twtxt (including my twtxt #xmpp bot) is up and running again. 😀

@kas (re autocrypt) It was released with 20191025 but 20191102 in Debian/SID seems to not be compiled with autocrypt support. Building the package myself fails and I don't know what libs might be missing. :D

@freemor Yeah, jabber.org is in a bad shape. I have an old account there and 'donated' it to the conversations compliance tester. Was afraid when I saw the result.
