Maybe someone else can help with more testing? π§

Speaking of WAF(s) / Web Applicaiton Firewalls -- I actually had forgotten that not only have I designed a new WAF from scratch, but I've actually implemented it already, and done some local testing. I just haven't put it into production yet... What od you think @aelaraji ? π€ https://git.mills.io/prologic/caddy-waf
@prologic no, I really meant small. I only have a handful of GiBs left of storage. If you can wait until mid-December, then no probleml. Right now it is kind of running on fumes. For testing, and to do not disturb anyone timelines, I recommend you run a small test instance. Running GtS is easier than running Yarn, by the way. Word.
@prologic ah, yes, one of those, yes. Too small for testing though. π
For those curious, the new Twtxt <-> ActivityPub bridge I'm building (bidirectional) simply requires three things:
- You register your Twtxt feed to the bridge: https://bridge.twtxt.net
- You verify that you in fact own/control the feed by putting the verification code somewhere on/in your feed (doesn't matter where or how)
- You proxy/forward requests for
/.well-known/webfingerto the Bridgebridge.twtxt.net.
I'm still testing through and ironing out bugs π Please be patient! π
Testing new design, architecture and implementation of a Twtxt bridge I'm working on...

Please ignore.
Why are we testing, or playing with, an alternate non-fully-compatible feed format within the same feed that we use daily?
Hopefully I haven't missed or messed anything upu π

Testing UI/UX is hardβ’ π
@lyse Well you are being slightly rude π€ͺ Sure you could write unit tests for this, but in practise testing emergent properties and behaviors of a system is actually a lot harder than you might realize. But I'm happy to always be proven wrong π
@kat I've almost fixed this btw π€ Just testing it thoroughly and polihsing the code. In case you're curious, I do this style of development called "Observability Driven Development" (ODD) whereby I make observations of the system via metrics and internal observations and adjust the system's overall behavior to the desired outcome π
Testing mentions, immediately followed by commas. Let's see: @prologic, this one is local, it might not break. Now, this one @movq, isn't local. Nor this @lyse, one. Will they break. Let's find out!
@bendereapl.me@eapl.me just testing this mention, to see which random nick will be picked. Related, I agree, those animations are truly awesome!
1st thought... Run!
Well, I've heard you have plenty of experience with Unit Testing and TDD. Perhaps designing a few tests before refactoring?
I've heard of Snapshot testing, but have never tried it: https://github.com/spatie/phpunit-snapshot-assertions
Also, what kind of refactor are you trying to do?
